History in the Making

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to share my story in your E - Magazine.
I am Furnax a.k.a Daddy Pugon, Aghamang Bughaw Founder/Owner/ Shrine Keeper of Yahoo! Groups Luntian and Luntiang Aghama. 
My First Group in Yahoo was not my own. I am one of the Pioneer’s the Clubs! Yahoo of the
Philippines . I was a member of that group since
September 30, 2000- two (2) days after it was founded. I joined the group like any other, in search of knowledge. Because everyone know, during that time knowledge in magick and witchcraft is too scarce and private teaching is expensive to find.

On that group I met my co-founder of Luntian, Bhong Witch a.k.a. Lady Gabrielle. We decided to form Luntian under the Countries Category of Wicca and Witchcraft. That time, seems not to respond to our request on public teaching that is why I started to form my own club.

Lady Gabrielle was my first member of the Club Luntian than I promoted her to become my co-owner of the Club. Our intention is to give free teaching by sharing our experiences in the craft. Actually, our form wicca is very experimental. The day Luntian was born on the cyber space were on
December 13, 2000 .
Actually real day of setting the group was on the night of
December 12, 2000 . It was the night of my Father’s Birthday. I was struggling that time in giving a name for the Group. The first name that came in to my mind in naming the group was Phillipine Wiccan Society, and now Lady Pixie has the group name. I change it to Prayer Warrior Society, and it sound like Christian Sect. I am struggling, because I am not a wiccan. And Wiccan Traditionalist were very strict in using the name wiccan. So I decided the group to become an Ecclectic and not naming name to anyone.
I ask my Guardian Spirit and Higher Self in what to name the Group, then Luntian came in. First, I laugh because it might sound a gay/homosexual group because of Luntian o Berde ang Dugo. But then the calling of the Higher Spirit on me insisted to name the Group Luntian.
December 13, 2000 at about
4:49 AM- the first Statement of Luntian was posted. It was through this post- the Club Luntian was Born and it’s principle become the foundation of the group.

Subject Title: Statement of Belief
“I believe in One and Almighty GOD. Creator and
Perfector of the Universe. He became my LORD and my KING.
He, who is not Created nor Can be Destroyed, is the
one who empowered me. He is the source of power,
energy and the one who blessed every magical workings we
make. I believe, though Christians, Muslims, and Jews
rejected, that GOD, since he created man in his image gave
them power over all his creation. He even gave power
to us over spirits and angels. God created them for
us to minister. I dont believe in the gods and
godesses but I believe that they are ministering spirits to
us, like Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, Luna, Agni,
Aphrodite, etc. etc. They were created before us to serve.
We are not to worship them or adore but we call them
as a Friend to help us in all of our Magical
Workings. All of us who follow the wise path must dedicate
him or her self in full service of the ALMIGHTY. We
are KINGS, PRIEST, and PROPHETs of the ALMIGHTY. To
HIM only our service must serve. The source of our
powers and Magic.

As I have said, the first group was named Lutian and because of the above statement, follower’s and member’s have been enticed to join Luntian. There are many struggles that I encounter in running the group. I’ve been type casted by many wiccan orginazation in Clubs! Yahoo specially those clubs in different countries. Upto the point that I was condemned by some wiccan practitioner as a bogus practitioner. I lifted my case to chocolate lamma, then give justice to their accusation on me. Because of that case, I decided to form a new group under the Philippines Category.
I am proud to say, that the group that I started was the first group that was under the Philippines Category. Its first name was Makabagong Kulam. The group was inspired by the book written by Tony Perez.
Makabagong Kulam was born on
the 26th of February 2001 . Again it was a struggle for me because im afraid that some spirit questor might question me on naming the group after the famous book of tony perez so I changed the name to Luntiang Aghama.
The group got it’s permanent name on
July 14, 2003 at
8:15 PM .
Until now, the group is encountering struggles but the only consolation that the moderator and owner found in this group is that we are touching people’s lives by bringing out change in the Filipino Spirituality.
I, with the rest of the team in Engkanto, Luntian and Luntiang Aghama, and to include some of the Owner’s and Moderator’s in the Philippine Category of wicca and witchcraft, we are consoled by knowing that we become part of history by reinventing and reconstructing Filipino faith and spirituality by bringing in Earth Centered Spiritualism and Reconstructed Filipino Animistic Belief in Diwata’s and Bathala.
